Sinopsis

Tras dos años de vivir en una estación en la Antártida, en una base de investigación del Polo Sur, la solitaria Jefa de Policía estadounidense, Carrie Stetko (Kate Beckinsale) está ansiosa – como todo el mundo – de poder volver a su hogar. Ella presentó su renuncia, y cuenta las horas y minutos para que salga su avión. Pero tres días antes de su partida, encuentran un cuerpo en el hielo, y Carrie inmediatamente comienza la primera investigación de un asesinato en la Antártida. Poco a poco las muertes aumentan, el misterio se profundiza y las lealtades cambian de bando. Entre tormentas de nieve mortales, un implacable asesino no se detiene ante nada con tal de proteger un secreto enterrado por más de sesenta años. Todos a su alrededor se están rindiendo y yéndose, pero Carrie debe resolver el crimen antes de que la Antártida quede sumida en profunda oscuridad durante seis meses. Ella está allí, con el asesino, en una tierra a donde nadie llega, y de donde nadie se va.
